In a few hours this playground will be filled with running children and lots of laughter. It will be busy with kids who do not know each other, meeting, playing, and making new friends. It will be filled with children of all different colors, sizes, shapes, and genders who are all innocent and just playing with other children.
They will help each other swing, take turns being the runner on the merry-go-round, wait in line for the slide. They will play with each other, help each other, encourage each other.
These kids do not see color, or size, or religion as different unless they are taught that something about someone else makes them different. And unfortunately society teaches this lesson so this leaves us to teach children tolerance, and to show examples of tolerance so we raise the next generations to be better, kinder, and more accepting of each other so we can focus on things that really matter.
What we are wearing is not important in this blog, but the message we want to send is.
A lot of bad stuff has been going on in the world causing a lot of division and the only way to make a difference is to raise the next generation to not hate, but tolerate each other.
So think of your world as a playground. Make some new friends. Help each other. Compliment each other and let's all hope that someday, future generations will not even know what "different" means.
