Thanksgiving is here! And for twins that love pies, and cakes, and cookies, and turkey, and stuffing, and mashed up taters, and even those slimy cranberries this is the best meal of the year. Izzy and Kael woke up excited and wondered over their sugar O's what kind of pies there would be this year. They both agreed that Pecan and Pumpkin were their favorites, especially with a bunch of whipped cream on them. They like the other stuff they have to eat first too, but saving room for the sweets was their favorite challenge.

After they stuffed themselves till they couldn't eat another bite of anything, they laid down in their tent and tried to think of their Christmas lists so the moms could be on the look out when they went out in the crazy shopping trip. But the turkey took over and in a matter of minutes they were passed out dreaming of what kind of pie they would eat for their midnight snacks...

It was a very special day. Kael got up early to hide some scarves and hats around because Izzy loves to accessorize. He even found a couple that he liked too!

As good of a hider that Kael is, Izzy found them all and tried them on. How does she look? She didn't know why Kael had hidden them, but she always was up for a good scavenger hunt.

When she came back in the house there was a present and cards with her name written on the outsides. Mom said go ahead and open them. "OMG!" Izzy exclaimed when she saw the cake and candles on the card. Mom confirmed that it was the specialist of days, her Rez Day! 

Izzy loved her new sippy cup and the cards. And of course, after dinner, her favorite part was the real cake with candles to blow out. She made a special wish this year. Can you guess what it was? She won't ever tell!

Izzy got invited to a birthday party and she had to find a dress.

So Mom took Izzy shopping.

They started with this cute red plaid dress by Pomona... so many cute accessories! Even glasses!

This called for a manicure. So they took a little nail break at Polished, Izzy picked the cozy plaid polish.

Then it was back at it.  How about the Cutie Cakes, Autumn Dressy. This Burgundy dress with a  cute black cardigan and frilly knee socks was so comfortable.

So many choices, I tried on 5.

This dress is the Twiple Twouble, Moonie dress.  I tried on 5 colors of this dress too, and boots! Mom said this reminder her of when she was a kid.  She wore a lot of jean skirts.

We picked out one more style to try. This is the Wishes, Heidi dress and Mom made me try another 5 styles of this dress.

We just can't decide, so it's time for a break. While we go and find the food court, ..... what dress do you like best?

Going to Chicago....

Yesterday we went on a day trip with our big Sister.  We had to be on our best behavior cause it was going to be a long car ride.  Sometimes if we argue and fight she calls our Mom, or Santa, or the Easter Bunny and leaves them an update on our "bad behavior".  If we are really bad she calls all of them on a conference call so we never want to make our Sister mad.

What do you do on long car rides? We played I Spy, I am going on a picnic, and 20 questions.




We drove all the way to Chicago to see The Cloud Gate Sculpture also known as "The Bean".  The big stainless steel bean is like a huge mirror and you can see the city skyline.  We walked all over and finally pulled out our picnic blanket while our Sister took pictures, and more pictures, and a few more pictures.

We thought she would never stop but she did, finally!, ask a nice lady to take one of all of us.

This is the best picture ever because right after we took this picture we went to get milk shakes. I think we had a hot dogs too.  But we got milk shakes!

We sat on our sisters car with our lunch, and watched people look at The Bean till it was time to drive home. It was a nice quiet ride after all the walking and pictures and milkshakes, I think we slept all the way home AND no one had to call Santa or the Easter Bunny. 

We think she called Mom though, we heard her say how good we were.

It was a fun day.  It was the first bean we ever liked :)

Picnics and Tea Parties!

Picnics and Tea Parties!

Izzy loves a good picnic but she equally loves tea parties!

Anyone can have a picnic or a tea party.  You just have to get dressed up in the cutest outfit you can. Invite everyone in your house to come into your room. When they do not come, you take out every stuffed animal you own and sit them around in a circle.

You can tell your stuffed animals where to sit, they do not complain. And they don't eat all the cookies or stash of candy you have in your picnic basket.  They don't eat the broccoli either tho.  They are still a much better option to come to a picnic than a brother (even though you can usually get a brother to eat the broccoli that Mom packed)

At your picnic, you can squish your plushies, sit on them, pull them by their ears, even pull off their arms and they don't tattle on you like some brothers do. 

And, did I say already? That they don't eat all the cookies!

Teddy Bears work best for tea parties! They sit pretty still. 

The best part is teddies don't say, "Izzy  Sssshhhhhh!!" 

So you can talk and talk and talk and you get all the cookies.

It's fun to have tea parties with your family and friends but some days you just need some cuddly plushies, a cup of tea and all the cookies to yourself and that's OK.
