No More Hate!

     In a few hours this playground will be filled with running children and lots of laughter. It will be busy with kids who do not know each other, meeting, playing, and making new friends. It will be filled with children of all different colors, sizes, shapes, and genders who are all innocent and just playing with other children.

They will help each other swing, take turns being the runner on the merry-go-round, wait in line for the slide. They will play with each other, help each other, encourage each other.

These kids do not see color, or size, or religion as different unless they are taught that something about someone else makes them different.  And unfortunately society teaches this lesson so this leaves us to teach children tolerance, and to show examples of tolerance so we raise the next generations to be better, kinder, and more accepting of each other so we can focus on things that really matter.

What we are wearing is not important in this blog, but the message we want to send is.

A lot of bad stuff has been going on in the world causing a lot of division and the only way to make a difference is to raise the next generation to not hate, but  tolerate each other. 

So think of your world as a playground.  Make some new friends.  Help each other.  Compliment each other and let's all hope that someday, future generations will not even know what "different" means.

Remember the bars at school?

I can, and I can still feel the cold metal. Smell the distinct smell of my hands after twirling on those bars. Feeling the pinch on the inside of my bare knees when swinging with shorts on.  The hot bars when the sun was out. Hanging upside down and swinging, flipping off and landing on my feet. The almost blisters from swinging for hours.

All these memories!

And now, Izzy gets to create those memories for herself too thanks to this awesome Boomerang Playtime Set.

Do you have a brother or sister that does a good job of annoying you?

Kael does.

Izzy is always  trying to get him off the swing, when she wants it for herself. 

She starts with telling him stories of like bugs and monsters hidden in the tire.

When that doesn't work she goes for the face licks!

This usually ends in Kael crying, and get's a Mom involved.

But then he usually gets the tire swing all to himself!

 It's a good thing Izzy has other friends.  These ones don't get her in trouble.

Even if she licks them and kicks them off her swing.

There are a few weeks left of Summer.  How will you be spending them? Izzy and Kael will not be spending any more time in their favorite pool this summer. Izzy planned on soaking up the sun and Kael was hoping to get in as much play time as possible, but then this happened and Mom put away the pool.

It all started the other day, Kael kept trying to convince Izzy to play with his new water boats, but she just wasn't having it. She just wanted to relax and enjoy a little bucket of cookies. She wasn't interested in the water boats.

 

The next day Kael tried again, this time with a sail boat. But Izzy didn't want to play with a sail boat either. Kael was so sad, but he didn't give up, and said he would go looking for a fishing boat. He knows Izzy likes fish.

And this gave Izzy an idea!

She told Kael she would like to go fishing, and asked him if he wanted to go too? He said yes. So into the house they ran!

They grabbed a few baggies from the kitchen drawer, Izzy told Kael it was the tackle box! They found the net next to the new tank.They picked out their catch and netted a few of their favorite fish, and plopped them right into those baggies.

They ran the fish to the pool. Izzy told Kael she would play boats with him now, and that the fish could be Jaws! He was so happy.

Then they heard their Mom, there was some commotion. They heard something like.. why, how, when.... get them back in the tank... drain the pool... lots of words and Mom wasn't too happy.

AND the next day ...the pool was gone.

I guess these kids are going to need to find something else to do for the rest of the Summer.

In the Dog House...

So this is Izzy.

This is Izzy teasing her puppy.

But her puppy has no idea she is teasing, he just loves her.

She loves all her pets. She also loves their treats.  She sneaks a biscuit now and then.  Just to see what all the fuss is about.

And she will sit and talk to the puppies for hours. They always listen.  They are always there ready to be scratched, petted, snuggled, drug around.

Always happy to just be with Izzy.

Her puppies are her favorite.  They are much more cuddly then the goldfish  She tried to cuddle them once,  but they are a little squiggly.

So she spends a lot of time in the dog house.

With her best friends.

Love your pets.  They love you unconditionally.

And have your pets spayed and neutered!

Everyday fun!

Every day there is fun to be had.

Sometimes it's walker races down the sidewalk.

If you have never strolled along in your walker, suckin on a yogurt pouch, in the early morning sunshine, babbling with your brother, .... your missing out.

Sometimes it's a trike ride in the barn.

This is a pretty epic adventure.  You can dodge stinky land mines.  Sneak around obstacles. Hide behind hay. Lock you sister in a stall. Even ride from poop to poop when you have the shoveling duty.  Work hard play hard is what grandpa says. So keep on pedaling.

Sometimes its story time with our Gummy.

The best time is story time with our God Mommy. She always has treats and she reads us the bestest funny and cute stories.  She lets us pick them out sometimes.  She says the funny things and never takes the cookies away.

And sometimes its exploring with our Mixi 🎔 getting into mischief.

Mixi is always ready to explore.  She likes to climb up our our shoulders to see over the fences and she always takes us on the best adventures. She knows where all the snacks are, and she finds the animals hiding around and always keeps us busy.

See every day there is something to do, somewhere to go, even if we have to make our own fun.

Like tying a rope to your brothers walker and making a loop and hooking it on the goats horns.

Those walkers go fast!
