Today we want to say thank you.

Thank you to all the creators who are so talented, because of you we are never bored!

Thank you to all our friends, because of you we are never lonely!

Thank you to our family, because of you we are always loved unconditionally!

We had a memorable year, full of new friends -and old. 

New family that grows every day, and so many new places we discovered and explored.

We learned, laughed, loved. We danced, hugged, and shared so many good times. 

 

We will fondly remember 2016 and we look forward to new adventures to share in 2017.

Boogie Woogie!

 We spent the afternoon doing a few of our favorite things!

 We went to the movies! Did some last minute shopping, and explored a new park near by. It was a bit cold and we were hungry so Mom took us to a new diner for a burger then a treat.

 We each had our favorite milkshake. They make the best in the world! Especially the pink flavor!

 

 Mom allowed us to explore the fun in the diner, as long as she could see us. She even gave us some money for the Juke box. We each picked a button to push!

 Then we got the boogie fever - and decided to dance a little under the awesome mirror ball. 

When it was time to go, we didn't want to leave. As Mom bundled us back up for the trip home she promised we would come back soon.

Mom's are the best!

Christmas is coming. Izzy and Kael are getting so excited! 

They have been driving their mom crazy with questions; when will Santa come, do all reindeer fly? What if it snows? Will Santa take some of this cookies to Mrs Claus? Do elves take naps? What if they forget a present? So many questions...

Their mom had to find something for them to do to with all that excited energy. So, they hung the Christmas socks above the fireplace. They talked about what treats they should leave out on Christmas Eve. They talked about what they hoped they would find in their stalkings. Kael wants a hot wheel! Izzy wants a new sharpie, and maybe some scissors. Does Mrs Claus pack the stocking stuffers for Santa?

So, their Mom let them write another letter... this time to Mrs Claus!  They both thanked her for helping Santa, and they let her know what treats they would like in their socks. But, they had to have a reason they deserved each thing they asked for. They only have a few more day's to earn their wish list.  

After they finished, it was a good time for hot cocoa. They took a trip out to the cocoa stand. Mom let them put a candy cane in each of their cups. They spent some time walking outside looking at the colorful lights, then settled  down on a bench enjoying their hot chocolate and snuggling up.

They just might write to Mrs Claus every year! If she takes care of everyone in the North Pole, like their Mom takes care of them, then Mrs Claus deserves some cookies too!

Kael gave the rest of his favorite candy cane to his mom, and a extra tight hug.

Pajama Party!

Kael, Izzy and their sister Bailee, had so much fun. 

Their Mom and Dad let them have a pajama party in the living room.

They played trivia, and ate snacks and watched movies AND they could stay up as late as they wanted!

All the games and snacks finally started to wind down

and Kael and Izzy fell asleep, leaving Bailee awake

 She might have found a way to stay busy and a few presents may have required re wrapping. 

But isn't she the cutest ever 👇

Two Turtle(neck) doves!

We had the best day! We played outside while Mom worked in the yard getting ready for a party.

She let us bring out lots of toy's and she even packed us lunches with a big thermos of hot cocoa.

She didn't even forget the marshmallows.💖

 And mom didn't let us get bored, not even one time! She taught us some new Christmas songs and we had some fun with the old ones.

Did you know Batman smells and Robin laid an egg *holds belly and laughs*

And now ever time we sing The Twelve Day's of Christmas we will remember singing about the turtle neck doves *giggles* cause we was wearing our turtle necks.

We stayed out till almost after dark before we had to go in for teeth brushes and tuck ins! 

It was the best day!

Dear Santa,
   I have tried to be good this year.  Sometimes mommy saids I has to try a little harder but I am workin on it.  I would like to say I didn't mean to do it and I am sorry for .... starts a very long list:

Meanwhile Kael finally pushes his way out of his closet, with a little help from his Dad (who went looking for him when things seemed all too quiet).

Someone might have talked him into sitting in there, with his favorite building blocks to play,  while she piled all his plushies and pillows up against the door on the other side.

Kael did find his favorite pillow! And enjoyed some TV time alone; while his sister was in time out.

Did someone say gingerbread?!?

Traditions! How fun.

Do you have traditions with your family and friends for the holidays?

Traditions are great because they create memories.

And memories make you smile.

Kael and Izzy look forward to making gingerbread houses every year! They were so excited, and asked "can we decorate them yet" so many times, that they were sent outside to play.

It was a warm winter day, cozy sweaters and their running back and forth to the house (to peek in) kept them warm enough.  And while they played games outside, the smell of the fresh cookies baking floated in the air.

They could hear the Christmas music playing from the kitchen, and their mom singing along.  And as they snuck a peek, they giggled when they saw their dad trying to help bake. He caught them and shooed them off a few time,always with a few gumdrops to hold them over, he loved to see their smiles and he knew how hard they were trying to be so patient.

Their Mom finished the baking, she whipped up the frosting, and gathered all the sweet decorations and had their Dad set it all out as a decoration station by the Christmas tree. And then they watched from the cozy couch, with hot cocoa in hand as the sweet chaos began.

They took the time to appreciate how lucky they were, They smiled as their children used their imaginations on their little sweet treats. They laughed as Izzy took all the pink candies, and as Kael licked his fingers. He ate more of the frosting than what he put on his house and most of the remaining gum drops ended up in Izzy's pocket.

This is one of their traditions, and will be a favorite memory.

And those Gingerbread houses never make it to Christmas  *wipes some crumbs from Izzy's chin*

Kael and Izzy are keeping busy enjoying the season.

The best part for little Izzy is that all the holiday and winter events offer more opportunity to tease her brother! 

Kael will never complain, she makes his days full of fun!

And sometimes she even let's him do the most important things! Like putting the top hat on the snowman. He knows she doesn't mean it when she teases, because of moments like this.  Welcome winter wonders, now go love each other a little more.

Can I keep it?!?

Izzy has a habit of finding strays. And when she brings them home, it's sooo hard to say no to that face. But Izzy doesn't always ask, only if she's seen! She has a pretty big backpack and it's getting a little noisy in her room.

So If your missing your puppy, ferret, kitty, monkey, giraffe, squirrel, hamster, worms, or even maybe your unicorn -check under Izzy's bed! If your lucky you will probably find a cookie or two as well.

Today is our Mom's Birthday. 

We have the most amazing Mom. She took us in and keeps us warm and loved and protected. She lets us bring home strays (like all the animals above). She helps us learn, create, & explore. She makes time, even when we know she is busy. She makes our heart happy and we love her more than cake. And we really like cake! There really ain't no Mama like the one we got! 

And we want you to know how much we appreciate every moment and we wish you the best birthday ever.

Holiday Memories

Christmas time, it is pretty wonderful. 

It's a time you get to see family & friends that you don't see often enough. A time when you love and appreciate everyone, just a little more. And a time to make a few extra special memories to look back on.

Last night Kael and Izzy had so much fun with family at their holiday gathering. Their mom even let them stay up after bedtime.

Their parents let them look at a very old memory book  while they said their last goodbyes to their guests.

 Kael and Izzy giggled and laughed at how funny their family looked so long ago.

   

 They picked out all the people that were at their party tonight and talked about those they missed.

They picked out their favorite pictures till Kael fell asleep.

Izzy carried her little brother to bed.

They will both always remember this memory.

Love and War

Sometimes you just need someone to tell your secrets to.

Sometimes you just need someone that will listen. 

If you are lucky like Izzy, you have a person!

Her brother is her person ❤

And if your really lucky, your person will always have an idea to cheer you up if you have a bad day.

Your person will know just what you need!

Even if it means they get the short end of the stick, like Kael did.

You see Kael knows that Izzy's favorite thing is sweet destruction in any form.

To make her feel better, he gave her what she  needed. 

So armed with some sugar sticks, they went to war. 

He let her think she won. He made her laugh. Then they laughed some more together, and she felt better!

She even said, I love you.
