History of the 4th of July holiday -The Declaration of Independence:
On July 4, 1776, the thirteen colonies claimed their independence from England, an event which eventually led to the formation of the United States.
Each year on July 4th, also known as Independence Day, Americans celebrate this historic event.
Today, the original copy of the Declaration is housed in the National Archives in Washington, D.C., and July 4 has been designated a national holiday to commemorate the day the United States laid down its claim to be a free and independent nation.
This year marks the 242nd birthday of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Americans will celebrate this day as a National Holiday and spend the time with family and friends at cookouts, viewing parades and festivals, and usually end enjoying firework displays. They will show their patriotism by wearing red white and blue and displaying the American flag. It is estimated they will consume over a whopping 150 million hot dogs.

We celebrate this freedom and hope everyone has the opportunities to celebrate and display the patriotism of their land as well while remembering~
