We are not afraid of a little rain

FT Ribbits & Ruffled Cuties @ To the moon and back

We went the beach again!

We were so excited to go (even though the clouds were a little grey).

The day started great! Kael and Izzy built sand castles, chased each other around and fought over the beach ball.

But there was this ONE BIG cloud overhead that had Izzy a little worried.

Mom said it would pass, but Izzy was not so sure and she did NOT want to have to leave.  

When the rain sprinkles started, mom put them under a nice umbrella with some lunch. 

Izzy was still worried.

But, Mom is always right. And just like she said, the sprinkles did not last.

After a quick lunch and nap, they we were at it again!

And after a bit of exploring they found a spot to swim! Can you believe it?

Another best day ever!

Food, Sun, Family, Sand, Swimming ..... these little rosy cheeked kids are pretty lucky.

Save the Turtles!

School is out and Izzy is already in vacation mode.

Sand in her toes,  shades to block the sun,  backpacks full of toys and games, all nothing but fun to be had!

Treats and sandcastles, pools and the beach, yep, summer is here!

To celebrate the beginning of summer, Izzy got a present! A Sea Turtle bracelet she also learned a bit about Sea Turtles and how awesome they are! Also the sad news that Sea Turtles are endangered.

You can help by:

• Supporting sea turtle research and conservation organizations and projects through volunteering or donating funds.
• Supporting measures to protect nesting habitats.
• Choosing seafood that is caught without impacting turtles (e.g., in areas where turtle excluder devices are used, or where bycatch is minimal).
• Not purchasing sea turtle products, including meat, eggs, oil, or tortoiseshell.
• Watching out for sea turtles if you are out on a boat in sea turtle habitat.
• Reducing marine debris. This includes always disposing of your trash properly, using fewer disposable items and plastics, buying locally and purchasing items with less packaging.
• Reducing your carbon footprint by using less energy

Mom said she is going to take picture of her in this same basket every year to see how much she grows.

Izzy sat still for about 2 minutes.. just long enough to capture a quick photo. Then she was off... ready to take on the sun.

Kael is having a hard time with numbers, so we are working on some ways to help him learn.

1 is for how many noses he has. *wiggle's his nose with my finger*

2 is for how many ears he has *gently tugs each little ear*

3 is for how many mom counts to before he get's the chair  *holds up 3 fingers, and points to the time out chair*

4 is for how many legs a puppy has *rolls his puppy over and rubs it's belly so we can count his legs*

5 is for how many fingers he has to wiggle when he waves *wiggles fingers and waves goodbye*

We also have these awesome balloons to help him learn! 

And when he get's to 5 it's sticker time!

Numbers can be fun! Especially if your counting cookies!!
