Kael had a dream.

He had a dream that he was picked up by an owl, who flew him over and let him go in the middle of a jungle safari.

He ran around with April's new baby and his little dik-dik and a panda on his shoulder. He almost woke up when

the dream changed to an enchanted forest where he was surrounded by puppies!  So many puppies, they were chasing butterflies. He giggled and ran as fast as he could after those butterflies and reached out and when he caught one

*poof* the butterfly turned into his sister Izzy. Then they danced and danced and had a hoot.

Sleep sweet! Hope you chase butterflies in your dreams too.

These little pajamas are the cutest!

Izzy and Kael take turns picking what to do at wind down time.

On this night, Kael decided it would be fun to make some music. He pulled out his bongo's that his mom thought she had hid so well.  Izzy made up a song and sang along.

They didn't have a lot of wind down time, mom said they needed sleep, and she needed a lot of time to hide those bongos!

The next night was Izzy's turn. She decided they should watch a little TV in her room.
They waited for the popcorn and hung out. Mom told them this was the best way to wind down.  They all cuddled up and ate some popcorn and watched Brave, for the 724th time.

What do you do to wind down? It's a great time to remember things you are thankful for.  Maybe think of starting a journal, just to remember that day. 

We have lots of great things to be thankful for especially our Mom who always pulls those bongos back out to make us happy.  One night of bongos is a small price to pay if it makes to kiddos happy.

No more carrots please!

So Izzy was left with the babysitter, who had strict instructions to only let Izzy snack on vegetables.

Izzy was not pleased with this and let her unhappiness show.

She decided if Lila ate them all.. then she would get out of eating the carrots and the quicker they were gone the better.

Blech!

But little did she know that after that bag of carrots, came the dreaded green cucumbers.  These were a little more fun,  you can put them on your eyes and play spa day. But they still were not up to standards for a snack.

Just look.  Ewww.

Izzy was learning that you can't live on sugar alone. This has been a hard lesson.  But if you try to eat good things, and don't overdue the bad you can always have small treats.

So finally, at the end of the day, the cookies came out.  It was about time!

She even shared with Lilia since she fed her most of her veggies all day.

 They both left some room for cookies.

Did you know:

   Did you know owls can turn their heads 270 degrees! They have twice as many vertebrae than a regular bird.  Owls have special blood-pooling systems that collect blood to power their brains and eyes when their neck movement cuts of their circulation from turning their heads all the way round by using alternative blood vessel routes and air cushioned vessel casings.  This  prevent ruptures and strokes from their crazy spinning head motions.

Izzie's head spins sometimes, maybe she is part owl?

A lot of owls don't hoot at all.  Some squeak, like the snowy owls.  Pygmy owls whistle.

These 2 sure make a lot of noise though! But it's usually cute when they hoot.

 Owls are exceptional hunters due to their excellent hearing along with their ability to be undetected themselves.  They have special hooks on their wing feathers that act as silencers so they can swoop behind prey and attack.

Kinda like Kael does, he's a stealthy one and is always on the hunt for prey with candy.
